Conservator's report on the Senator Theater, which is now closed for renovations. It gives me a little hope that the new owners have historical conservation in mind, but shoehorning 3 more theaters into/onto the building still makes me a little steamed, and oddly perplexed... why bother with that 3rd one that looks like it'll only have a dozen seats?

Most appalling part of the report, about the concession lobby ceiling: "Removal [of acoustic tiles] through freezing and fracturing as conducted in owner tests* results in loss of the original paint surface along with a portion of the plaster veneer."

Egad! The Cusacks performed their own tests on the historic structure! Yikes!
