During dinner, I joked about the extreme toughness of the turkey, the unidentifiable cooked greens, & the proper occasions to eat dessert first. He didn't comment verbally, (he doesn't talk hardly at all anymore), but did make the usual facial expressions he would make when conversing. He did seem to understand me.
I tried to take a good pic of him, but he kept turning away or closing his eyes to avoid the camera. This pic in profile is the best I could get.
Next: To set off the "illegal" fireworks I smuggled across state lines in celebration of his birthday!
