Did
Fathers Day yesterday to avoid the crowds & fuss at the nursing
home. Got cupcakes from La Cakerie & spoon-fed Dad a red velvet
cupcake while we ate our own (Dad can still feed himself, but would
rather play with his food than eat it. Hand-feeding ensures he eats it).
He was a little more animated & interactive than he's been lately,
but it could've been the sugar I just stuffed into him :-)
The nurses informed me the dementia is taking its toll. He'd had plenty of tests lately for acting "sick" or "lethargic", but no problems were found. As if I couldn't tell. Thanks.
So, I asked, when was the last time his pacemaker was tuned up? A year ago? Hmmm. How about we get that checked?

If he makes it a few more weeks, he'll be 78.
