Due
to a confluence of events after work, I got no jog on the NCR today. I
did attempt to run up the hills on the Druid Park bike trails instead,
but 2 cars(?!?!) go whizzing by.
The gates at the head of the trail were open, usually that's for City maintenance trucks to access. The cars must've reached the gate at the other end of the trail, & turned around, buzzing by me again.
I closed the gate & drew its bolt. There was a broken industrial padlock near it, so I puzzled it back together & placed it carefully on the bolt so it looked functional. As soon as I finished, yet another car whizzed down Parkdale, were surprised there was a gate closed on their road, & turned around. I think everyone's following old map apps. The bike trails show up as named roads on them.
