Bank of America now has customer service reps wandering the branch being as happy & useful as Clippy, the MS Office assistant:

"I see you're writing a deposit; have you considered getting a card to deposit that at an ATM?" she asked, cheerfully.

"This is an estate account. I can't do that."
I refrained from asking why in this day & age I can't do so.

At the teller:
"Have you considered having your checks direct deposited?" she asked perkily according to script.

(that's it)

"This is for an estate account. That is a check from the IRS that I had to submit Form 1310 & other paperwork just to get it sent. I tried, they rejected the direct deposit option in his tax form..."

"Oh. I didn't notice what kind of check it was. Oh! I SEE! Estate of...."
