Went to First Fridays in Hampden last night. Bought this at a local gallery. It's by a local artist, Renee Tantillo. It's rusty motorcycle parts soaked in a rusting solution then pressed into the clothes. I think it's gorgeous.

I feel utterly stupid I didn't think to do this first. But I'll support the artist who did. And get to take it home.

A friend did designs with twisted "barbed-wire" years ago.  Some were successful (looked interesting) and some just snagged the fabric and rusted unevenly.  I have had shirts unintentional/intentional Peach juice designs on a t-shirt as well as exploded pen in the dryer patterns... hmm.  Perhaps I could intentionally explode more pens to even out the dalmation-like pattern's splotchiness.
