Checked
up on Dad after his room move. He was very lucid, nodding yes or no
when asked about things. He managed a one word answer when asked how
he's feeling: "Rough", then he beeped my nose, which is an affectionate
gesture he hasn't done in a very long time. He even fed himself, after I
cut up his food. He understood me perfectly. He seems more cognizant
now that he's lost physical ability than earlier when he was still very
able. I'm wondering about this...
There's a lot of padding around Dad's bed in case he falls out, but I was the one who took a tumble. I slipped on a wet spot in the floor & hit hard on an elbow, knee, & hip (I was still a little discoordinated from the antianxiety med I took yesterday). Nowhere near one of Dad's floor pads, unfortunately. Laid there awhile running a systems check. I'll have a nice bruise on my knee tomorrow, I think.
